Fitting the engine

As befits a Series Land Rover, I tried to install the engine horizontally: the axle would destroy the oil pan when compressed. Call to a Defender owner: Engine must be installed at an angle!! By the way: I struggled three day to adjust the engine proper to avoid collision with the steering gearbox:

After welding the engine and gearbox mounts and restoring the back of the frame:

Sand blasting was done!

Axles have to change from coil to leaf spring mountings. So remove everything first and then fit the new mountings:

Frame was painted and engine and axles were assembled:

Due to changed wheel base body side panels have to be build on my own. Spape of Series is different to Defender one.
