Sealing Engine to Gearbox

Original sealing doesn’t work properly. There is always a leakage nearby the sump (between gearbox and engine) I have not installed this original seal (611089). Main problem is the sealing between bearing cap of the crankshaft to bell housing (FRC9865). By adding sealant the problem will be solved.

Same problem I was faced to with the 2.5 l turbo diesel. So it seems to be a major problem for Land Rover diesel engines.

Exhaust gas temperature

To reach the center of the exhaust gas temperature the gauge should be mounted deeper in the whole of the EGR. The normal 90° bended gauge doesn’t reach the hot exhaust gas.

The difference in the exhaust gas temperature measurement between vertical and inclined installation is around 100 °C
